Steering Committee

Judith M. Kramer, MD, MS

Dr. Kramer is the principal investigator of the Duke CERTs, which focuses on cardiovascular therapeutics. She also is the Chief Medical Officer for the DCRI and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine of the Division of Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Kramer served as the chair of the planning committee for the CERTs Risk Management Meeting. After practicing clinical pharmacy and general internal medicine, Dr. Kramer became involved in cardiovascular clinical research and has worked in this field for the past 17 years. She also has conducted epidemiological research on medication errors resulting in emergency room use. She spent 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry, serving as Vice President of Clinical Research for Burroughs-Wellcome Co. and International Director of Cardiovascular-Critical Care Clinical Research for Glaxo-Wellcome Inc. (now GlaxoSmithKline).
