Brian L. Strom, MD, MPH
Dr. Strom is the Principal Investigator of the University of Pennsylvania CERTs and the George S. Pepper Professor of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Chair and Professor of Biostatistics & Epidemiology, Professor of Medicine, Professor of Pharmacology, Founding Director of the Center for Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Founding Director of the Graduate Group in Epidemiology & Biostatistics, and Associate Vice Dean at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Strom is also Associate Vice President for Strategic Integration, University of Pennsylvania Health System.
In addition to writing over 450 papers, he has been Principal Investigator of over 200 grants. Dr. Strom has been a consultant to the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, United States Pharmacopeia, Association of American Medical Colleges, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, foreign governments, most major pharmaceutical manufacturers, and many law firms. Dr. Strom is a member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the National Academy of Sciences. He is a member of the American Epidemiology Society, and was elected to the American Society of Clinical Investigation and American Association of Physicians.
